Birthright Citizenship is Real, Says the Constitution on Burka blog.
If you are born here, you're a citizen.
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject
to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state
wherein they reside.” That what’s the 14 amendments says that--citizens or not and the parents being
citizens or not (or legal or not) the child was guaranteed the right to equal
protection as all US Citizens under the 14th Amendment.
Does not matter who your parents are, what
laws they are accused of breaking, where they were born, or what citizenship
they hold. You're an American, and a US citizen.
According to “Greg
Sargent, at the Washington Post, who argues
that it’s a shame Republicans are agitating for an end to birthright
citizenship, and an ironic shame because this is one of the party’s
greatest historical accomplishments.
It would be a great tragedy to let modern day
nationalistic fervor to weaken the United State of America by changing the USA
constitution (amendment 14th). Our immigrant communities are more
peaceful than in other developed nations because the immigrants know that they
have the freedom and ownership of pride that comes with their children being a
natural born citizen. The united states truly give them the hope of a better
life and a better future for the most precious of all resources - our children.
I do not agree with those who oppose
unconditional birthright citizenship. I agree with the author because it is
truly one of the United States of America strengths as a nation. In addition
there are many logical and convincing reasons in the author's blog.
